The Volkswagen ID. Buzz is definitely a very interesting electric model. At the time of its unveiling, the German carmaker had not provided all the details. Specifically, he hadn’t said anything regarding it prices. The feeling, however, was that it would not be cheap given the contents and the presence of the 77 kWh battery pack.
Now, we know something more about the price list of this model since the prices for the German market. In fact, within the list of models compatible with state incentives drawn up by the German BAFA, the ID appears. Buzz, complete with a price (German VAT of 19% excluded).
Specifically, we find both the Volkswagen ID. Buzz Pro and both the Volkswagen ID. Buzz Cargo. Hence, the Volkswagen ID. Buzz Pro with 150 kW motor and 77 kWh battery, in Germany, has a cost of 54,270 euros + VATthat is just under 65,000 euros.
The Cargo version, on the other hand, is more “economical”, however, always equipped with the same powertrain. According to the German document, the price is 45.740 euros + VAT, amounting to just under 54,500 euros. Costs, therefore, are important. By way of comparison, also in Germany, the Volkswagen ID.4 GTX has a price of 50,415 euros including VAT. In Italy, however, this model is offered starting from 56,850 euros.
Obviously, we await the official communication from Volkswagen on the complete list of the new ID. Buzz in order to have a more precise picture on the costs of the electric multivan. Until then, some tweaking is still possible.
Apparently, however, this model looks like it will be particularly expensive and this could discourage those who thought of getting their hands on the Bulli’s electric heir. In any case, as we know, there will come in the future Pure variant “cheaper” and equipped with a lower capacity battery pack.
