The foldable smartphone segment welcomes X Folda device with which Vivo aims to conquer precious shares and which will have to contend with Samsung – the undisputed leader in the foldable offer – and all the other brands that have slowly begun to populate the market (see Oppo with Find N, just to give an example ).
Vivo X Fold offers a 6.53-inch external display and an 8.03-inch foldable internal display Schott UTG (DisplayMate A +), both AMOLED E5, with refresh rate at 120Hz (the main one, dynamic, is capable of operating up to 1Hz) and ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. The hinge has been designed in such a way that the closure of the device is complete, leaving no space between the two sections, while the opening can take place at an angle between 60 and 120 degrees.
Under the shell there is a 4,600mAh battery capable of recharging quickly a 66W with cable ea 50W wirelessly. The photographic sector was designed in collaboration with Zeiss and consists of 4 cams on the back, to which two other front cameras are added, one external and one internal positioned inside a small hole.
- 50MP main, Samsung GN1 1 / 1.57 “, f / 1.8, OIS
- 48MP ultra wide angle, Sony IMX598, F / 2.2, FOV 114 °
- 12MP tele 2x (47mm), Sony IMX663, f / 1.98
- 8MP periscope 5x (60x digital zoom), OIS, f / 3.4
Traditional form factor, yes, but without giving up a large display: X Note relies on one 7-inch screen with 21:10 ratio and 2K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, LTPO AMOLED E5 panel which also in this case earned the DisplayMate A + rating. It is quite heavy (ranging from 216g for the Gray and Blue models to 221g for the Black), but the center of gravity has been moved so that the smartphone is apparently lighter in the hand.
Under the body there is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, and the cooling area is particularly generous, from 47.123mm2. Here too the photographic sector is the result of collaboration with Zeiss, starting with coverage T *. There are four cameras, with 50MP main sensor, 48MP ultra wide angle, 12MP telephoto and 8MP periscope.
