The first version of the compact laptop from the Redmond company used the Intel Core 10th gen platform, with several options that stopped at Core i5 series processors, 4 / 8GB of RAM and a storage department that reaches 256GB. According to reports, the Surface Laptop Go 2 could be fitted with a CPU Core i5-1135G7, combined with 4 / 8GB of RAM memory and options for SSD (128 / 256GB) or eMMC (64GB) storage; another novelty concerns the coloring which, in addition to the already known Platinum, Sandstone and Ice Blue will also be available in shades Sage. The transition from Comet Lake to Tiger Lake will allow not only to improve performance under the CPU side, but will guarantee a better experience in the graphics field thanks to the implementation of Intel Xe integrated graphics.
As for availability and prices, it is rumored that Surface Laptop Go 2 shipments will begin in June with prices that should start at $ 549 for the base model (Core i5 / 4GB / eMMC 64GB); the more powerful variant, with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD storage, could instead cost $ 899.
