OPPO launched on the Chinese market a new version “s” of its A55 5G, smartphone announced at the beginning of last year, also in China, but never arrived on the Italian market. This umpteenth device only increases the confusion of names at an international level since OPPO has already launched an A55s 5G on the Japanese market that differs completely from this, both from an aesthetic and hardware point of view.
If there are macroscopic differences between the OPPO A54 and the OPPO A54s that arrived in Italy, the same cannot be said between the A55 5G and A55s 5G that arrived on the Chinese market. they would appear to be entirely identical except for the amount of RAM which increases by 2GB going from 4GB base to 6GB. As an option there is also an 8GB version, always of the LPDDR4x type.
In fact, both the design, characterized by a front with a teardrop notch which integrates an 8 megapixel camera, both all other internal components including the MediaTek Dimensity 700a processor manufactured at 7nm with two Cortex-A76 (2.2 GHz) cores, six A55 (2.0 GHz), a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU and a 5G sub-6 modem.
To complete the specifications we find 128 GB of storage expandable via microSDone 5,000 mAh batterya display 6.5 “60Hz LCD with HD + resolution in 20: 9 ratio and a triple rear camera with 13MP main sensora 2MP macro (with 4cm focusing distance) and a 2MP depth sensor.
OPPO A55s 5G can already be pre-ordered in China with sales expected to start on April 25th. Prices start at around 160 euros of the basic model from 6/128 GB up to about 175 euros of the version with 8GB of RAM. Three color variants that will be available, Blue, Black and Rose Gold, but only the first two are in pre-order.
