TO Milan it’s official there extension of entry bans in area B and C as of 1 October 2022. The resolution was definitively approved by the City Council, adjusting the timing of area C to those of area B which had already been the subject of discussion – in the true sense of the word – last month.
The resolution postpones the entry into force of the access bans in Area C that were scheduled for 2021 to 1 October 2022.
These are the words of the councilor for Mobility Arianna Censi:
The end of the health emergency is imminent and the entry into force of the rules, after the extension last September, requires adequate and prior communication.
These prohibitions concern passenger transport vehicles:
- Euro 2 petrol
- Euro 3 and 4 diesel with standard DPF and V.5 field registration certificate ≤ 0.0045g / km

- Euro 5 diesel
There are exceptions regarding membership of the MoVe-In / Area B projecti.e. the installation of a device that automatically detects the real mileage of the car and which allows you to circulate freely in Area B on any day and time as long as the kilometers traveled per year have not exceeded a certain threshold (which changes according to the type of fuel supply of the car and the Euro category to which it belongs).
Therefore, starting from October 1st, vehicles equipped with a MoVe-In device will be able to circulate in Area B from 7:30 to 19:30 on weekdays from Monday to Friday:
- Euro 4 and 5 diesel
- Euro 4 diesel: max 1,800km per year
