Close-Up: our interview with Guglielmo Scilla, aka Willwoosh

Close-Up goes away. For the second episode of our new format dedicated to the history and tricks of the trade of the most relevant creators on the Italian scene, we flew to Rome to meet a special guest: William Scillaaka Willwoosh.

We remind you that the format is shot entirely with smartphone: for the shooting of the second appointment we used the series Oppo Find X5which includes the base model, the mid-range Find X5 and the top of the range Find X5 Pro.

Enfant prodige of the Italian web, one of the absolute pioneers of YouTube, when its tricolor appendix was still a land to be discovered and modeled like a piece of raw clay. Guglielmo Scilla, from the time of the first videos published under the pseudonym of Willwoosh – which will remain his trademark until today – has come a long way. After becoming the youtuber with the most followed and visited channel in 2011, even before the neologism was coined, he is today one of the most influential and appreciated media personalities by the Italian public, and not just that of the Net.

We poked around in the most remote corners of his studios in the heart of Rome, the city where he was born and raised without betraying his Sicilian origins, reviewing the iconic sets of his formats, his personal office, the editing room and the most hidden and curious (spoiler: the bathroom) that make up the headquarters of Willwoosh Srls, the company that Guglielmo founded with his family in 2019.

Once again, it was the technology: with Guglielmo we talked about metaverse, NFT, the relationship with social networks, pauses for reflection from YouTube, indispensable devices in the creative process and in everyday life and much more.

So, good vision!
