Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul return, from Breaking Bad to the ending of Better Call Saul

The news that emerged during the weekend went around the world in a very short time and it is not surprising given the reference to one of the most famous TV series of recent years, namely breaking Bad. In a surprise move, AMC has confirmed that Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul will appear in the sixth and final season of Better Call Saulwhich is expected to arrive on the homonymous channel on April 18 and for us on Netflix from the following day, April 19.

They are coming back“, states the tweet accompanied by the photo you see in the header, which undoubtedly portrays the most famous characters played by the two actors, the unforgettable Walter White and Jesse Pinkman.

Let’s do a bit of order for those who do not know the genesis of the two characters. First of all Better Call Saul is the spin-off series focusing on the life of the famous lawyer McGill, born from the ashes of breaking Badthe cult series that aired from 2008 to 2013 and is still available for viewing on Netflix (have you never seen it? Watch it!).

The latter tells the story of Walter White (Bryan Cranston), a high school chemistry professor who, following the discovery of an incurable tumor, revolutionizes his life by transforming himself from a mild-mannered person to a producer of methamphetamines. To help him in the enterprise will be a former student of his, Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul), and subsequent vicissitudes will make their path cross with that of the lawyer Jimmy McGill, or also known by the nickname of Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) .

A first sign of the welcome reunion came Thursday from Odenkirk himself, who said during the premiere of the sixth season presentation:

I personally feel that the two shows – Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul – are more intertwined than ever in the final season. And I think it’s amazing and beautiful, and it will make you want to watch Breaking Bad again.

It is not the first time that Cranston and Paul reprise their iconic roles, in fact, it had already happened in the sequel film El Camino – The Breaking Bad Moviewhose task was to give a more exhaustive ending to the TV series, but which in fact was not appreciated very much by both critics and fans of the series conceived by Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould.

On the contrary, the spin off series Better Call Saul has enjoyed some success and the achievement of 6 total seasons is proof of this. We just have to wait a few more days to know its epilogue, so see you next April 19th on Netflix!
