40 years after the last official race of the Abarth 131 Rally, the Scorpion brand wanted to pay homage to this model by launching the Abarth 695 Tributo 131 Rally special series which will be produced in only 695 units. A model, highlights the manufacturer, which will be marketed globally. Prices? It starts from 37,000 euros. DESIGN AND PERFORMANCE
Speaking of design, this model based on the 695 is characterized by some details that recall the car of the past starting from the two-tone three-layer “Blue Rally” glossy livery with black roof and pillars. The Blue Rally color it is also present on the mirror caps and on some interior details. However, the monochromatic “Blue Rally” and “Grigio Record” liveries are also available.
Then we have 17-inch alloy wheels in black with a diamond finish. Speaking of the interior, we find fabric seats, strictly Sabelt, with blue inserts and stitching. Curiosity, Abarth says it has placed several “Easter Eggs” on the car, that is, small references to the model of the past such as the silhouette of the 131 Rally engraved on the lower part of the door, on the dashboard in Alcantara and on the headrests of the new seats.
The standard equipment of the new Abarth 695 Tributo 131 Rally also includes Koni FSD shock absorbers on both axes and a Brembo braking system with self-ventilated discs of 305 mm and 240 mm and 4-piston aluminum calipers at the front. The car can also count on one Variable trim spoiler, adjustable in 12 positions from 0 to 60 degrees that improves cornering stability, offering greater responsiveness in mixed sections. For example, with the maximum inclination of 60 degrees, at a speed of 200 km / h the downforce increases to 42 kg.
And speaking of the engine, this small sports car can count on the 4-cylinder 1.4 T-jet 180 hp (132 kW) with 250 Nm of torque maximum, combined with a 5-speed manual gearbox (optional automatic). Accelerating from 0 to 100 km / h takes 6.7 seconds, while the top speed reaches 225 km / h.
